About Us
Since 1992, Dignity Diner has reliably served a free, three-course meal in Lincoln Park/Lakeview every Tuesday, with a focus on serving those experiencing food, housing, or financial insecurity. Dignity Diner started as a ministry of the historic Holy Covenant United Methodist Church; we have since grown into and independent charity but continue to serve in the original location.
Rain or shine, on holidays, and through pandemics. We serve with respect, kindness and dignity.
In addition to meal service, we offer supplementary to-go sack lunches, personal hygiene and other care items to anyone who needs them.
All are welcome to join us in a spirit of community and shared fellowship.

Volunteer with us
We have volunteer opportunities for everyone. Whether you’re and introvert, extrovert, grant writer, waiter, or an Excel Sheet fan: we’d love to meet you!

Find a way to contribute
If a financial contribution isn’t your jam, that’s ok! Our community supports us in many different ways: get friends together and make sack lunches to donate, share our Amazon wishlist on your socials, make your favorite dessert to share with our guests, and more.
